The Second Annual Black Mental Health Roundtable was a success!

We are grateful for our collaborating partners, the Kennedy-Satcher Center for Mental Health Equity, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and the American Psychological Association (APA) for helping to make the Second Annual Black Mental Health Roundtable a success. Mental healthcare providers and leaders from across the country attended the event virtually and in-person.

The highlight of this year’s event was the release of Hurdle Health’s report: Voices of a Collective Experience: Vicarious Racism and its Impact on Black Mental Health. In light of the recent events in Buffalo and California, it is even more important to understand the far-reaching impact of these tragedies.

"Two years after the death of George Floyd, it has become clear that individuals do not have to experience racism directly in order for it to affect them. The report and roundtable discussion is based on interviews with people of color who share their first-hand experiences with direct and indirect (vicarious) racism."

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a compelling event."
