Hurdle offers the only culturally intentional telemental health care designed for people of color and other minority groups. Hurdle empowers organizations to provide their employees/members with culturally informed mental health services, including digitally accessible self-mastery tools, wellness workshops, and teletherapy.  In this way, we support diverse populations who are underserved by traditional resources. We exist to ensure that individuals can show up whole, operate with joy, and live with power. 

About the position.
We’re looking for an adaptive, multi-talented Clinical Fellow to work directly with the Clinical team to help us achieve our vision. 

You will work closely with our VP of Clinical Affairs and leaders across the organization to support the execution of our clinical operations. You will also help ensure quality and efficiency in our processes in order to deliver the highest quality of care. You will work on a variety of projects and tasks, both strategic and administrative, to help us achieve our objectives.

As a fellow, you will work in Fall 2021 and with an end to be a to-be-determined date no earlier than mid-April with the opportunity to transition this into a permanent position if there’s a great fit.

The Team.

This is a cross-functional role where you will be working with team members from Product, Operations, Marketing, Content and Clinical Operations to help us meet our goals. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously while managing multiple projects and priorities at once. Also, given the cross-functional nature of the role, you will have excellent business acumen, organizational expertise, and interpersonal skills.

Role Responsibilities.

  • Support the daily activities of the clinical team, including involvement in hiring, training and management of therapists
  • Add capacity to our clinical operations team by maintaining data systems
  • Contribute to the development of content for workshops and mobile application 
  • Conduct research and analysis to support company growth
  • Partner on completion of the monthly provider newsletter 
  • Assist in the review of patient-facing clinical content prior to publication 
  • Conduct a needs assessment and assist in the development of workflows for greater efficiency 


  • You are a current undergraduate or graduate student studying Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Public Health
  • You’re obsessed with the problem of mental health and committed to delivering better solutions for people dealing with mental health issues
  • You have a strong understanding of mental health care
  • You have experience in research and data analysis
  • You thrive when you are working on multiple projects at once
  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage company work environment
